The staff of O’Brien Forensic Accounting has developed a reputation within Oklahoma’s legal community as a firm that can be counted on to provide sound ethical forensic accounting litigation support. As the founder of O’Brien Forensic Accounting, Michael P. O’Brien, CPA/ABV/CFF, CVA, has had but one career path, and that is providing a wide range of forensic accounting and traditional services to his clients.
Specializing as a forensic accountant since 1985, Michael has been involved in a wide range of both civil and criminal legal matters ranging from partnership/shareholder dispute and family law divorce accounting to multi-million-dollar criminal embezzlement investigations involving close coordination with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the Oklahoma Attorney General’s office. Over the past 37 years, Michael and his team have established successful relationships with many law firms and businesses throughout Oklahoma. These relationships are a testament to the singular dedication and integrity of their work, as well as their reputation for excellence.

Lead investigator that uncovered and quantified a multi-million dollar embezzlement scheme involving multiple employees of a non-profit organization. This case involved working closely with and providing a detailed report of findings to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office which led to the recovery of millions of dollars and the arrest and/or incarceration of the main perpetrators
